I’m Ethan, a Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo. I build intelligent systems, from dealership automation to a chess engine learning its next move.
CNN and dense neural networks evaluate positions. C++ bindings and cached search information improve inference and positional evaluation.
THE TRAINING LOOP
Automated workers manage training iterations, replay buffers, and model tournaments. Working toward a 2500 rating; evaluation is ongoing.

I’m studying Honours Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. My work spans machine learning, robotics, and web applications—with a particular interest in how algorithms become useful software.
Competitive programming and mathematics are part of that foundation. These days, I’m putting that curiosity into MarsIsRed and looking for my next co-op opportunity.
